Gasgoo Embodied Intelligence learned that on 14 August, Pateo (02889.HK) and Yunji Technology (02670.HK) signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Drawing on their respective strengths in smart vehicles and robotics, the two will build a deep partnership and explore a new paradigm for merging smart manufacturing with the robot industry.
The agreement aims to combine Pateo’s market, engineering and productisation strength on the smart-vehicle side with Yunji’s lead in commercial service robots and embodied intelligence. The two will coordinate across five dimensions: technology co-creation, scenario co-building, supply-chain co-security, market co-win and ecosystem co-fusion, to lift core-product competitiveness and global market share.
On robot-scenario joint development, the two will push robots into automotive-factory settings and explore embodied robots for material handling and assembly assist on parts lines. Mature solutions will be promoted to other automotive and general-manufacturing clients. On smart sound systems, Yunji will prioritise Pateo’s “skin sound” system in its robots, replacing traditional speakers for more natural interaction. On supply chain and manufacturing, the two will jointly procure chips and other key materials, while Pateo will use its precision-electronics capacity to provide OEM and EMS production of robot control modules for Yunji, improving cost and consistency. On frontier tech, they will study an open-source HarmonyOS “brain-cerebellum” collaborative architecture for embodied intelligence.
Pateo said the cooperation is a milestone in its embodied-intelligence strategy. Recently it joined the application working group of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s humanoid-robot and embodied-intelligence standardisation committee, signed with Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s AI operating-system institute, and reached technology synergy with Nvidia, Horizon and SenseTime. It has also won a project designation from another top domestic robot “brain” company.
