Ouka Zhibo, a surface embodied-intelligence firm, completed its Series C in July, bringing cumulative financing this year to nearly 300 million yuan. The round was led by Xi’an High-Tech Investment, with Yuanhe Puhua and Sanyuan Capital following.
Founded in 2017, the company develops vessel intelligent-driving technology and surface embodied-robot applications, organising a full-stack surface physical-AI system of embodied brain, intelligent hub, physical nerve and physical body.
The embodied-brain layer continuously collects multimodal navigation data across wave, wind, flow, visibility and traffic density, accumulating tens of millions of samples and over 1,000 terabytes, forming a surface data flywheel of real operation, data return, model training and algorithm iteration. The intelligent-hub layer binds situational awareness, intelligent decision and reliable control for complex-water understanding, long-voyage path planning, dynamic obstacle avoidance, multi-agent coordination and high-precision motion control under wind and waves. The physical-nerve layer self-develops vessel domain controllers, intelligent sensing modules and 4D millimetre-wave radar.
Through its APAS vessel intelligent-driving system, the same intelligence reuses across vessel types and waters. Under a one-brain, many-bodies strategy, the ORCA-APAS system covers all waters, vessel types, speeds and scenarios at L2 to L4 autonomy, from 10,000-tonne cargo ships to official boats, leisure yachts and inspection craft, with orders from China State Shipbuilding, COSCO Shipping, China Merchants Industry and Mediterranean Shipping.
The many-bodies side is a range of self-developed surface embodied robots. In water-area operation the firm has scaled unmanned environmental boats, marine unmanned craft, unmanned mowing boats and water-conservancy inspection boats, delivering over 1,000 units, the highest shipment volume in the sector. In waterfront leisure its Yang, Xi and Man smart tour-boat series have clustered in more than 50 national 5A and 4A scenic areas. Surface general intelligence, built on physical-AI, is moving from professional to consumer markets.
