Meituan backs Faolf Robotics again as the collaborative-robot maker closes nearly RMB 1 billion in fresh funding

On 16 October, Faolf Robotics announced the consecutive completion of its Series C+ and Series D rounds, raising a combined total of nearly RMB 1 billion (about USD 140 million).

The two rounds drew backing from several investors. Meituan Longzhu and Meituan led, with Yongxin Capital, Shishan Phase II and Suzhou Venture participating. Existing shareholders Guolian Minsheng Capital, Suzhou Industrial Investment and Clearwater Capital added further investment.

The company said the proceeds will mainly fund capacity investment in core components and the expansion and R&D of industrial embodied intelligence, covering the ART series of industrial-grade humanoid force-control arms and the AIRLab embodied-intelligence tool platform.

As a leading Chinese collaborative-robot and smart-manufacturing solutions provider, Faolf makes its core components in house, including controllers, encoders, servo drives, harmonic reducers, servo motors and brakes.

It has built a multi-scenario, multi-payload collaborative-robot portfolio centred on the FR series, spanning 11 models from FR3 to FR35, with derivative WM welding and commercial C series for specific uses. Applications range from CNC loading and palletising to welding, polishing, assembly inspection and commercial service.

This year Faolf extended into embodied intelligence, launching the ART series of industrial-grade humanoid force-control arms as a global first, and signed a 2,000-unit strategic agreement for humanoid force-control arms with Boyin Hechuang, plus a 2,000-unit deal with JACK Technology, a global sewing-industry leader.

For 2026, Faolf projects about 18,000 global unit orders, up 68 per cent year on year, with overseas volume up 87 per cent. By region, Europe takes 46 per cent of overseas sales, Japan 16 per cent, North America 13 per cent and Southeast Asia 11 per cent. The company now runs more than 50 overseas sales outlets and three overseas service centres, with global channel partners including igus and MISUMI, and deep cooperation with customers such as NASA, HD KSOE, Notion, Panasonic and DENSO.

Its collaborative robots already work at HANA Microelectronics’ Thailand plant and connect with semiconductor and electronics firms including ASML, Coilcraft, LG Electronics and Sony Semiconductor.
