Dobot, the world’s top collaborative-robot seller by volume, heads to China’s ChiNext

Dobot, the world’s largest collaborative-robot vendor by shipment volume, will face Shenzhen’s ChiNext IPO review on 22 July. If approved, it stands to become the A-share market’s first pure-play collaborative-robot stock.

The path was paved by policy. A June 2025 directive let Greater Bay Area firms listed in Hong Kong list on the Shenzhen exchange. Dobot, which debuted on the HK bourse in December 2024, became the first H-to-A case from the region. Its ChiNext application was accepted just 17 days after a new reform paper encouraged high-quality unprofitable innovators to list.

The capital stack is layered. The Hong Kong IPO netted HK$681m, funnelled into collaborative-robot R&D, capacity, M&A and overseas channels. Two later H-share placements added roughly HK$1.8bn, much of it into embodied intelligence. The ChiNext raise of 1.2bn yuan complements both: 550m yuan for multi-legged robot R&D and industrialisation, 250m yuan for humanoid-robot technology, 100m yuan for sales, and 300m yuan for working capital.

The timing matters. Peer Jaka Robot terminated its STAR Market attempt in December 2025, leaving Dobot alone at the gate. With a clear line to the listing bell, Dobot is converting a collaboration-robot lead into a broader embodied-intelligence war chest, from arms to humanoids to multi-legged machines.
