UBTECH and Xiamen C&D Form Humanoid-Robot Joint Venture

Shenzhen-based humanoid-robot maker UBTECH has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Xiamen C&D Co., the Chinese supply-chain and real estate conglomerate. The two partners will set up a joint venture to operate the Fujian headquarters of UBTECH Ecosystem Technology Centre.

Under the agreement, the JV will act as the operating entity of the Fujian headquarters, coordinating regional industry resources and providing ecosystem services. Planned functions include operations and maintenance support, hands-on training, scenario-based R&D, shared equipment leasing and sales, and event operations. The centre is intended as a one-stop industry-service platform.

The venture’s headline commercial target is to sell no fewer than 10,000 UBTECH humanoid robots by 2030. To reach that volume, C&D will contribute industrial channel access and supply-chain reach while UBTECH supplies the humanoid hardware, software and embodied-intelligence stack.

Beyond volume sales, the partners will embed robots into C&D’s own business lines. Pilot use cases cover logistics and warehousing, security patrols, and urban public-space services in C&D’s supply-chain and property-development projects. They also plan to explore supply-chain finance arrangements to lower the upfront cost barrier for large-scale adoption.

UBTECH already splits its product line across industrial, commercial and consumer applications. The company uses its in-house ROSA2.0 robot operating-system framework and a one-stop robot-management cloud platform, together with BrainNet 2.0 and Co-Agent technology, to coordinate multiple humanoid robots on the same task.

At UBTECH’s Liuzhou industrial humanoid-robot super smart factory, which opened on 12 September, Cruzr Y1 and Cruzr S2 industrial embodied-intelligence robots handle destacking, palletising, loading and transport alongside human workers. The plant produces Walker S and Cruzr-series industrial humanoids at a rate of one unit every 10 minutes, with an annual planned capacity exceeding 10,000 units.

Xiamen C&D’s dual-core businesses are supply-chain operations and real estate development. In 2025 the company reported revenue of 671.270 billion yuan, roughly USD 94 billion, and operations spanning more than 170 countries and regions. That footprint is expected to give UBTECH a ready pipeline of deployment sites and commercial customers.
