Bosch used the ninth China International Import Expo, which opened in Shanghai on 5 November, to show assistance driving, AI cockpit, integrated motion control and tactile robot sensing, positioning the portfolio across smart mobility, embodied intelligence and low-carbon technology.
A European ADAS award from a Chinese carmaker
On smart mobility, Bosch focused on the global application of innovations developed in China. It has signed a European localisation award with Chery for advanced driver assistance, and the technology will be fitted to six new Chery models with production starting in 2028 and more than 800,000 vehicles expected to be delivered within five years.

Bosch has also established an electric drive technology solution centre in Shanghai, developing common module base platforms for global markets.
Robot fingers that feel pressure
On embodied intelligence, Bosch exhibited a tactile sensing product for robotic fingers built on a high-precision air pressure sensor, which can identify an object’s hardness and contact pressure and help a robot adjust its grip force.

Bosch China’s robotics centre was formally established in early 2026. It is now building infrastructure for embodied intelligence data collection and conducting feasibility studies on industrial applications with domestic robot companies.
Xu Daquan, president of Bosch China, said that deepening its presence in China is not only about capturing local market opportunities but about integrating into China’s innovation system and converting Chinese innovation into competitiveness for global markets.
The direction of the transfer is the story. For three decades the template ran from German engineering to Chinese plants. A European ADAS award specified by Chery inverts it, and the 800,000-unit volume gives the arrangement enough weight to affect how Bosch allocates engineering resources.
