GAC spin-out Huilun Robotics closes 100 million yuan round for humanoids

Guangdong Huilun Technology, the embodied-AI subsidiary GAC Group spun out to industrialise humanoids, has closed a 100 million yuan funding round. The capital will fund vertical-model optimisation, expansion into automotive production-line and service scenarios, core-product iteration, team building and the scaled rollout of humanoid whole machines and core components.

Launched in February 2026 in Huangpu, Guangzhou, Huilun takes over GAC’s humanoid research and commercialisation. Drawing on the carmaker’s two decades of vehicle manufacturing, autonomous-driving know-how and supply chain, it has built a full stack spanning bottom hardware, whole-machine design, cerebellum motion control, vertical brains and scenario operations.

The company has developed axial-flux joint motors, integrated joint modules, high-power drives and rigid-flex dexterous hands in house, and has iterated through four generations of wheel-leg humanoids. Its fourth-generation GoMate Mini uses a switchable wheel-leg structure for fast movement, rough-terrain crossing and portable deployment, runs over eight hours on a single charge and can right itself after a fall.

Fitted with a vertical industry model, GoMate Mini handles sorting, handling and assembly on auto lines and takes on reception, delivery, facilities and emergency tasks across campuses. It has already been deployed in nearly 50 units across seven representative projects, the longest running twelve months, covering roughly 63,000 kilometres, completing about 189,000 anomaly-handling events and winning nearly 10 million yuan in orders.

Huilun is now building joint-module and whole-machine mass-production capacity to support a planned 10,000-unit-scale output, moving from demonstration to volume.
