A Shenzhen spin-out building the “brain” for robots has closed a nine-figure Pre-A round, with a listed antenna maker leading the ticket.
Gasgoo Embodied Intelligence reported on 15 October that Shenzhen Ruoyu Technology recently closed a nine-figure Pre-A financing. The round was led by listed company Sunway Communication (300136.SZ), with Jinmu Capital, Qindao Capital, Huanghai Capital and Zhongchuang Capital following on. Since its 2023 founding, Ruoyu has raised a cumulative total of several hundred million yuan.
A robot brain that starts with fueling
Ruoyu is a robot-brain company in the embodied-intelligence race, incubated at the Shenzhen campus of Harbin Institute of Technology. Its core product is the self-developed “Ruoyu Jiutian” robot brain. Unlike most players who start from general scenes, Ruoyu chose high-value specialised scenarios first, with its debut use case aimed at intelligent fueling, meaning fueling robots, a setting that stacks harsh constraints of danger, explosion proofing and continuous outdoor work.
On architecture, Ruoyu builds a “brain-body-scene data” trinity with a cloud-edge-device layered design. The cloud carries the world model and global task planning. The edge handles millisecond-level real-time perception and safety control. The terminal robot runs heterogeneous compute and multiple sensors for precise execution. Field data flows back to the cloud after filtering and anonymising, forming a perception-decision-execution-feedback-optimisation loop.
From sample room to real sites
Ruoyu opened a showroom in Foshan in April 2026 and began trial operation. For fixed car models, the fueling robot already reaches a high task-success rate in open environments, with human takeover triggered only on anomalies. The new funds will go mainly to full-stack robot-brain R and D, real-scene data-loop construction and industrial rollout. Ruoyu says the brain capability honed in intelligent fueling can later move to charging, ports and inspection work. Gasgoo’s Seeds Discovery column, which surfaced the deal, links early-stage firms, ecosystem partners, investors and local government to surface useful companies and technologies in the intelligent shift.
