On 23 August, Qiyuan Robot, under Shangwei Advanced Materials, opened pre-orders for its Qiyuan Q1 and Qiyuan T1 humanoids through its mini-program, Tmall, Douyin, Bilibili and offline events. A 1,000 yuan deposit deducts 2,000 yuan from the final price, and first shipments are expected in September. For an industry hunting for a landing path, this is the step from “being experienced” to “being bought”.

The pre-order extends real user benefits: a 1,000 yuan deposit offsets 2,000 yuan of the balance, a 30-day Care pack and accessories at 30 per cent off, a first-batch collector box with a handwritten note from Zhiyuanjun, a founder-user card and a limited figure, plus half a year of extra warranty and a one-to-one support line. The Q1 and T1 had already appeared at WAIC 2026 and ChinaJoy with small pre-order runs in Guangzhou, Hangzhou and Shanghai.

A milestone for the consumer business

Shangwei’s 2026 interim report shows two consumer humanoid products, a preliminary matrix, 210 million yuan in pre-sales deposits, experience stores in seven core cities, and supply-chain and ecosystem build-out underway. First-half R&D on the consumer robotics business reached 160 million yuan, spanning AI models, embodied algorithms, motion intelligence, interaction intelligence and lightweight joints. Mass-production supply is also forming: a first ten-thousand-unit line with Lens Technology and a core-component tie-up with Wolong Electric.

Qiyuan Q1 is billed as the world’s first small full-force-control humanoid, about 88 cm tall and 15 kg, aimed at embodied development, tech collectibles and home companionship. Qiyuan T1 is the world’s first transformable personal robot, about 100 cm standing and 16 kg, switching between wheeled humanoid and quadruped forms for companionship, outdoor escort and content creation.

Policy backs the moment. In June, eight ministries including the Ministry of Commerce issued guidance on accelerating “AI plus consumption”, listing AI robots as new consumer supply. Soochow Securities argues consumer embodied intelligence is moving from pure demo into real demand such as gaming, social collectibles and companionship, evolving from standardised hardware into customisable personal terminals. The robot-in-the-home era is accelerating.
