A near-RMB 670 million swing in one week
Recently Hangzhou power-inspection robot maker Shenhao Technology announced that its wholly owned Beijing subsidiary received a selection notice from a central state-owned enterprise as the second winning bidder on a smart-compute cluster project. The product scope is a 60-month dense-compute lease of GPU servers rated at 1,152 PFlops, with a capped unit price of RMB 216,000 per server per month and a capped total of RMB 829,440,000.
As the second winning bidder, the Beijing unit took a 40 per cent share, or 468 PFlops, at RMB 215,300 per server per month, for a winning total of about RMB 336 million. Almost simultaneously, another wholly owned subsidiary, Hangzhou Shenhao Zhisuan, received a cooperation intent email from Company A, under which it will become Company A’s compute-service supplier with a five-year service period and an estimated total fee of about RMB 333 million.
The two orders combined reach nearly RMB 670 million, a heavyweight move for a company whose entire revenue last year was only about RMB 300 million.
The orders did not start this week
Stretch the timeline and this is not Shenhao’s first big order this year. In May it signed a three-year strategic cooperation with China Mobile (Hangzhou) around embodied-intelligence product development. The same month it reached a full strategic partnership with CACC Berry on extending datacenter inspection into production-safety operation and maintenance robots, with CACC Berry committed to buy no less than RMB 100 million of O and M products and a joint lab set up for 36 months.
Notably, in 2025 Shenhao’s datacenter inspection-robot business brought in only RMB 542,400, just 0.17 per cent of total revenue. Then in June came another order bomb: Shenhao signed a roughly RMB 1.167 billion eight-year fixed-price green compute-center smart-O and M contract, of which about RMB 327 million covers robot supply and O and M and about RMB 840 million covers full-cycle labour, with roughly 570 operation robots.
From selling robots to selling compute
In July Shenhao announced plans to procure servers from several suppliers, with a total contract value expected not to exceed RMB 2 billion, mainly to provide compute leasing to its customers. By 22 August its Zhisuan unit had signed RMB 241 million of high-performance server procurement contracts.
The arc is clear. A company known for inspection robots is rapidly becoming a compute-capacity and datacenter O and M contractor, where the robots are the visible edge of far larger service and leasing agreements. The 2025 figure of RMB 542,400 of datacenter-robot revenue against a RMB 1.167 billion June contract shows how fast the centre of gravity has moved from hardware to recurring capacity and uptime.
