Shenzhen Bojiang Robotics has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with a leading Hong Kong smart-construction firm, marking its move from pilot deployments to scaled adoption in the Hong Kong and Macau market.
Under the deal, the Hong Kong firm will purchase construction robots, intelligent equipment and related technical services worth at least 200 million yuan from Bojiang, to upgrade the city’s construction industry with AI and automation. Bojiang has already landed more than 20 projects in Hong Kong across public housing, private residential, commercial and industrial sites.
A core player in Chinese construction robotics, Bojiang runs full-stack in-house research and holds more than 1,200 invention patents. In March it launched five series of embodied construction robots covering concrete work, precision surveying, painting, flooring and high-rise exterior work.
Its concrete series delivers levelling accuracy within ±5mm at up to 300 square metres per hour, cutting two to three workers per job. Its surveying robot measures a room in two minutes at ±1mm accuracy. Its painting robot reaches six times manual efficiency at heights up to 6.5 metres, with coverage above 90 per cent.
The exterior series targets high-rise work: a spraying robot adapts to standard gondolas for fully automated facade coating up to 100 metres, while a curtain-wall cleaning robot handles 200-metre towers. Bojiang says the combined effect can cut a project’s comprehensive cost by more than 30 per cent.
Bojiang claims the top market share in its category, with more than 5,400 robot deployments across 1,600 projects and over 50 million square metres of construction completed, in 15 countries and regions including mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.
