Linghou Robotics, a Suzhou-based supplier of core components for embodied intelligence, has raised a Series C round of more than 100 million yuan. The round was led by Chendao Capital, the industrial investment platform linked to CATL, and joined by the Industrial Machine Tool Investment Fund, a fund backed by Henan Information Industry Investment, a prominent dual-currency fund, and existing investors including Suzhou Venture Capital and Guyue Capital.
The company said it will spend the proceeds on three priorities: research and product iteration on core parts for embodied robots, expansion of production capacity and smart manufacturing lines, and the creation of Jiangsu province’s first provincial-level laboratory for embodied robot core technology and components.
From vision modules to complete hardware loops
Linghou has been active in smart manufacturing for years and began moving into embodied-intelligence components in 2023. Its product line now covers vision modules, joint modules, wheeled robot chassis, smart arms and domain controllers. The company describes this as covering the robot’s eyes and limbs, creating a complete perception-decision-execution hardware loop.
The Vietnam opening is significant because it is Linghou’s first overseas manufacturing base. The company already opened a Jiaxing facility at the end of May to serve the Yangtze River Delta, and it has expanded its Beijing plant to support the northern market and general-purpose robot volume production.
CATL’s presence as the lead investor is a signal. The battery giant is one of the most aggressive industrial investors in Chinese robotics, deploying robots in its own factories and backing component makers that can scale with the sector.
