As robots flood factories, homes and public spaces, what decides whether they can actually work is shifting from movement to manipulation. Carrying, inspection and simple pick-and-place are maturing, but on finer dexterous tasks, grasping parts, turning tools, inserting components, robots still struggle.

The industry used to rank a hand by parameters, degrees of freedom, load, speed, precision. A 20-DOF hand can show complex poses yet fail to turn a screw steadily, or grip an object without manipulating it. A hand that looks human is not the goal. A hand that keeps working is. Zhongke Huiling, with Lens Technology and Hunan Huaxia Investment, formed Zhongke Huisi to tackle exactly this, entering through the dexterous-hand hinge.
A multi-body lineup, not one universal hand
Zhongke Huisi declined to build a single universal hand and went back to a basic question: what hand does the scenario need. It launched the L1, D1 and M1 products. L1 stresses light weight, stability and cost balance, built to train the hand’s brain with rich sensors rather than chase spec limits. D1 is the more flexible route, high DOF, multi-joint, tactile, for fine and multi-finger tasks. M1 pairs a standardised body with modular functional fingertips that swap by task. A pre-released F-series uses tendon-driven biomimicry with a three-minute tendon swap.

Hardware, data and skills as one loop
Data decides how far manipulation can evolve. Zhongke Huisi built a layered capture system, motion plus physical interaction plus visual environment plus task information, fed by data gloves, head rings and teleoperation tooling. Atomic actions are combined into reusable skills, like building blocks. Two flywheels reinforce each other: hardware deployment yields real task data that improves the product, and the data-skills system iterates the model, which opens new scenarios.

The CASBOT BAND robot band runs on L1 hands, playing real instruments under a unified timeline with multi-robot sync, a stress test of dynamic response and reliability. Lens Technology brings precision manufacturing to turn one hand’s craft into a repeatable category, and Hunan Huaxia supplies cultural, tourism and education scenarios as a real feedback loop. From body, to manufacturing, to scenario, Zhongke Huisi is trying to close the three hardest links in dexterous-hand commercialisation.
