BridgeDP Robotics, a Shenzhen developer of general-purpose robot operating systems, has closed a Pre-A+++ round of about 100 million yuan led by the China Mobile Chain-Leader Fund, with existing shareholders Fosun Capital and Shenzhen Capital adding capital. The company does not build robots. It builds the software that makes other people’s robots walk, run and turn.

Founded in May 2023, BridgeDP started in the robot cerebellum, supplying motion control for quadrupeds, wheeled-legged and humanoid robots. Founder Shang Yangxing studied at Southern University of Science and Technology under LimX Dynamics founder Zhang Wei and interned at LimX before dropping out to start the company in 2023. Early work was project-based: customers supplied the robot, BridgeDP sent engineers to model, train and deploy. That validated demand and turned a profit early, but experience from one robot rarely transferred to the next.
The answer was RoboCraft AI, a general robot motion-development platform the team calls a robot action mall. It standardises the messy workflow of modelling, safety checks, simulation, training and sim-to-real deployment, so a task that once needed five robotics reinforcement-learning engineers over three months can be done by one software engineer in a week. Its roadmap runs from an action mall to a skill mall to an application mall, built on three software layers: Motion to absorb hardware differences, Skill for combinable abilities, and Task driven by a large language model.
BridgeDP is building a data factory targeting hundreds of thousands to about 1 million hours of whole-body motion data to train a base model, and is extending into perception, avoidance and manipulation. It refuses to build its own hardware, betting that an independent third party, not a robot maker, should own the cross-platform development layer. This year’s revenue target sits in the tens of millions of yuan as it shifts from project work to a subscription platform charged per deployed robot.
