On 1 September, XtronRobot (XTRONROBOT), a specialist in embodied intelligence for hazardous industry, closed a tens-of-millions-yuan A1 round from Qianhai Ark, Xihu Sci-Tech Venture and Guangyang Shares. The money funds its XBOT-AEGIS embodied system, multi-configuration explosion-proof robots, and domestic and overseas expansion.

Built for the places humans should not enter
Founded in December 2022, XtronRobot focuses on oil and gas extraction, chemical production and nuclear maintenance, the kind of environments where the cost of a mistake is measured in lives. Its team comes from Harbin Institute of Technology, with founder and CEO Fu Zhe bringing a decade in industry and dual master’s degrees from the University of Sheffield and Imperial College London.
The XBOT-AEGIS architecture uses a three-layer decoupled design: a top layer for task understanding and decisions, a middle layer for motion planning, and a bottom safety layer that intercepts a bad command from the large model in milliseconds. That balances the slow thinking of the decision layer with the fast response of the control layer. Training blends on-site data from deployed units, a simulation platform, a VLA execution model and the open-source JEPA world model.
From CNPC to South Sudan
On the hardware side, XtronRobot plans a standardised family of explosion-proof products: wheeled and rail-mounted patrol units, combined patrol-and-operate robots, air-ground units and biped-wheel machines. Since 2025 it has delivered multiple units to flagship customers including CNPC and Wanhua Chemical, running stably. Abroad, it works both with state-owned groups going global and overseas distributors, with orders in South Sudan and Malaysia.
It raised a tens-of-millions-yuan Pre-A from Oriental Fortune in August 2025 and a Pre-A+ in February 2026. The A1 round came only six months later, with Qianhai Ark and Xihu Sci-Tech Venture adding again and industrial investor Guangyang Shares coming in fresh.
The hazardous-process niche carries high safety barriers, rigid demand for labour replacement and customers who can pay. Unlike general-purpose humanoids, XtronRobot has built a moat in compliance, domain know-how and trust. The test now is scaling delivery without losing standardisation.
