BluePoint Touch closes several-hundred-million-yuan Series D as GAC Capital leads, powering China’s humanoid force sensors

Gasgoo Embodied Intelligence has learned that BluePoint Touch, a domestic robot force-sensor specialist and a leading player in six-axis force sensors, has closed a Series D of several hundred million yuan.

The round was led by GAC Capital, the investment arm of GAC Group, with Deye and Xichen Capital following on. The funds will go mainly into research on next-generation force sensors, capacity expansion and a global market push.

The shareholder roster now spans battery maker CATL, vehicle manufacturers GAC and SAIC, whole-machine leaders AgiBot and Galaxy General, semiconductor high-end manufacturer SMIC, and new-energy storage firm Deye. AgiBot and Galaxy General were already core customers.

Founded in 2019, BluePoint Touch’s core team comes from the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beihang University and Northwestern Polytechnical University. The company adapts high-precision force-control know-how honed in aerospace to robotics.

Its product range covers humanoid six-axis force sensors, general six-axis sensors, joint torque sensors and tension-compression sensors. Its self-developed six-axis and joint torque sensors reach 0.1 per cent full-scale accuracy, response above 10 kHz, and 500 per cent overload tolerance, while cutting volume by 90 per cent and weight by 80 per cent.

In the market, beyond AgiBot and Galaxy General, leading humanoid builders including Xiaomi Robot, UBTECH, Zhongqing Robot and Star Era all equip BluePoint Touch sensors in volume.

As production scales, BluePoint Touch has stood up China’s first fully automated robot force-sensor line in Guangdong, with designed annual capacity of 1 million joint torque sensors and 200,000 end six-axis sensors. Delivery time has been compressed from the six to eight weeks of overseas brands to two to three weeks, supporting the move toward 100,000-unit-class humanoid deployment.
