Tencent-backed agri-robot maker FJDynamics refiles for Hong Kong IPO after 1bn yuan of accumulated losses

After its September 2025 filing lapsed, FJDynamics has refiled for a Hong Kong IPO, joining a queue of nearly 50 robot companies now lined up for the exchange. Where most cluster into industrial and humanoid forms, FJDynamics stands apart by targeting agriculture, animal husbandry, construction and property management.

Founded in 2017 by Wu Di, a former chief scientist at a DJI-affiliated company, the firm shipped an agricultural autonomous-driving kit in 2019 with centimetre-level precision covering the full farming cycle, and took the sales lead within a year. Its tech stack spans GNSS, LiDAR SLAM, computer vision, deterministic algorithms and electrification, yielding products from industrial sweepers to the RM21 mower-line-marker and manure-handling robots.

Scale is the differentiator. The company holds 368 patents, works through 2,564 distributors and reaches more than 110 countries, with overseas revenue above 90% in 2025. Frost and Sullivan ranks it third globally in autonomous-driving agricultural kits by shipment, at 9.7%, and second in the retrofit segment at 17.5%, placing it firmly in the global first tier.

Financially, revenue rose from 530 million to 570 million to 740 million yuan across 2023 to 2025, a near-40% cumulative gain, but the company remains unprofitable, with net losses of 471 million, 334 million and 281 million yuan and cumulative losses past 1.1 billion, exceeding 2.1 billion by mid-2025. The repair trend is clear, though: adjusted net profit improved from negative 268 million to negative 57 million to positive 10.1 million, a 1.4% margin, turning positive.

Proceeds are earmarked for broadening the product matrix, lifting R&D, raising global penetration and general working capital. Backers include Tencent, Shenzhen Capital Group, DJI, Dongfeng Motor and others, a roster that signals strong capital-market confidence in its niche leadership.
