INMO closes a near 1 billion yuan C round and opens IPO preparations

INMO, the global smart-glasses brand, has closed its C3 round, led by the Sichuan Zhenxing Sci-Tech Innovation Fund with Jing’an Capital, Shibei Hi-Tech, Guangzhou Industrial Investment and several Sichuan government funds following. Combined with its earlier C1 and C2 rounds, the C series totals nearly 1 billion yuan, and the company says it has formally opened preparations for a public listing.

The proceeds fund the next generation of spatial-hardware products and the continued build-out of the INMO AIOS system. INMO has kept revenue growth above 200 per cent for several years running, and its founder and chief executive, Yang Longsheng, argues the category is moving from phone accessory to independent terminal. The firm was an early backer of the all-in-one waveguide route, shipping a full-colour waveguide glass in 2021 and the AIR3 with a Sony 0.44-inch Micro-OLED panel at 1,920 by 1,080 resolution in 2024.

Market tailwinds are real. IDC puts 2025 global AI smart-glasses shipment growth above 200 per cent year on year, and China’s first-half 2026 volume reached 909,000 units, up 85.5 per cent, worth 1.88 billion yuan, up 98.7 per cent. INMO’s GO translation line once held an 80 per cent share of the translation-glasses market, and its Magic AI glasses, designed with Jackson Wang, took 50,000 pre-orders ahead of a July North America debut.
