Ruison Technology plans a private placement of up to 784 million yuan, with the net proceeds funding a high-precision, high-speed six-axis robot plant, an R&D and headquarters upgrade, and debt repayment. The raise extends a push from system integration toward proprietary robot hardware.
From Panasonic partner to own arms
Founder Sun Zhiqiang started in 1995 as China’s first Panasonic welding-machine and robot agent, and built the business around welding and robotics before founding Ruison in 2012 across robots, machine vision, industrial software and smart manufacturing. In 2025 Ruison spent 90 million yen of idle proceeds to buy Panasonic connected high-speed parallel-robot assets, and this February marked 10,000 Panasonic robots in use through the partnership.
In January the self-developed high-speed six-axis robot, the PLR, entered production. It reaches 0.8 micron repeat accuracy, 2.2 metres per second, a 3 kg load and a 50,000 hour mean time between failures, with key parts rated beyond 10 years.
Where it lands
The PLR is finding work in high-end manufacturing: a global connector leader qualified Ruison’s gear, first units entered two display-panel leaders for flexible FPC assembly with repeat orders, and precision-electronics wins followed. Ruison set up a robot subsidiary for high-speed arms, embodied-AI robots, embedded controllers and core parts.
Outside China, Ruison won its first Xinjiang project, a 330 million yuan cotton-harvester parts line, and its first Southeast Asia deal, a 130 million yuan new-energy vehicle smart-manufacturing order with Malaysia’s INGRESS.
Fixing the profit puzzle
Ruison long showed the “revenue up, profit flat” pattern of many manufacturers, swinging to a 62.7 million yuan loss in 2022 before returning to profit, though net income drifted from 49.2 million to 11.5 million yuan through 2025. The first quarter of 2026 broke the pattern: revenue 202 million yuan, up 15.8 per cent, with net profit 20.6 million yuan, up 878.6 per cent, and recurring profit up 1,363.4 per cent.
