A rope-driven AI robotics company in Shenzhen has crossed the 10 billion yuan valuation line on the back of paid, thousand-unit orders rather than demo reels. On 13 October, Astribot said it had closed its Series B round, completing three financing rounds in 90 days with cumulative proceeds above 1 billion yuan and a valuation above 100 billion yuan.
The investor list mixes state-backed industrial funds with strategic and public-market names: the Liangxi science-and-technology industry fund (managed by Bohua Capital), Yangzhou Longtou Xinli, Zhongbo Julli, Thundersoft (300496.SZ), Kede Education (300192.SZ) and an undisclosed listed company, with China Science and Technology Capital following on. China Renaissance advised.
The round funds iteration of the Lumo base model, accumulation of high-quality real-world data, and expansion of the engineering team, rounding out what Astribot calls its full stack of AI model, embodied operating system and rope-driven body. More than capital, the deal brings deployment partners: Thundersoft becomes a strategic investor, and the two plan to field robots by the thousand across industrial and commercial settings while using Thundersoft’s distribution in North America, Europe, Korea and Southeast Asia to reach overseas buyers.
In the Yangzhou economic zone the company will build an Embodied Intelligence Application Innovation Centre with yuan-scale commercial projects focused on tourism, hotels and public services. A vocational-education partner will pilot a combined real-robot training, digital curriculum and enterprise-certification programme. Commercially, Astribot says it already holds several thousand-unit orders in retail, industry and research education, with multi-scenario batch deliveries underway.
The S1 robot began thousand-unit delivery at the end of 2025, and its retail solution is live in six Chinese cities, including a deployment that sells Forbidden City merchandise autonomously. On 27 May the company launched its T-series; the T1 starts at 89,900 yuan, pulling high-precision manipulation under the 90,000 yuan line, with shipments from 1 June and 2026 mass production plus 10,000-unit capacity build-out in progress.
