Shenzhen’s UBTech sold 921 full-size humanoids in H1 as robot revenue jumps 1,445 per cent

Shenzhen’s UBTech (09880.HK) turned its full-size humanoid business into its largest revenue source in the first half of 2026, selling 921 full-size embodied humanoids and more than tripling the share of total income that line represents.

UBTech: the commercialisation question, answered

For the half year, UBTech posted revenue of RMB 1.269 billion, up 104.2 per cent year on year, and gross profit of RMB 567 million, up 160.9 per cent, with gross margin rising to 44.7 per cent. The net loss narrowed to RMB 339 million, down 23.0 per cent, and adjusted EBITDA improved 45.9 per cent. The full-size embodied-humanoid business booked RMB 590 million, up 1,445.0 per cent, lifting its share of revenue from 6.1 to 46.5 per cent to become the top earner.

Unit volumes tell the scale story: 921 full-size humanoids sold, up 1,946.7 per cent, and 16,123 humanoids across all categories, up 268.3 per cent. The company is no longer asking whether humanoids can be sold. It is asking how fast the line can scale before profit turns positive.

The wider week in Chinese robotics
