On 1 September XTRONROBOT, a specialist in embodied intelligence for hazardous industry, announced a several-tens-of-millions-yuan A1 round. The investors include Qianhai Ark, West Lake Science and Technology Venture Capital and Guangyang Shares. The funds go to refining the XBOT-AEGIS embodied-intelligence system, developing multi-configuration explosion-proof robots and expanding in China and abroad.
Founded in December 2022, XTRON focuses on special-process industries such as oil and gas extraction, chemical production and nuclear-power maintenance. The founding team comes from the Harbin Institute of Technology, with technical backing from the HIT Robotics Institute and the Fujian Advanced Manufacturing Technology Research Institute. Founder and chief executive Fu Zhe brings a decade in industry and manufacturing.

The company developed the XBOT-AEGIS architecture with a three-layer decoupled design: an upper layer for task understanding and decision, a middle layer for action planning and simulation, and a bottom layer as safety redundancy that can intercept an abnormal large-model command within milliseconds. That layering balances the slow thinking of the decision layer with the fast response of the control layer.
On training, XTRON is pushing three workstreams: collecting live operational data from deployed equipment and customer records, building an internal simulation platform to supplement real samples, and deploying a vision-language-action execution model while testing an open-source JEPA world model toward a self-developed foundation model.
On the architecture it plans a range of standardised explosion-proof products covering inspection, operation and three-dimensional coordination: explosion-proof wheeled and rail robots, inspection-and-operation combinations, air-ground units and biped-wheel robots. Since 2025 XTRON has delivered multiple units that run steadily at bellwether customers including CNPC and Wanhua Chemical, and overseas it has won project orders in South Sudan and Malaysia through a state-owned-enterprise export model plus local distribution.

On financing pace, XTRON took a several-tens-of-millions-yuan Pre-A from Oriental Fortune in August 2025 and a Pre-A+ in February 2026, then this A1 only half a year later, with Qianhai Ark and West Lake re-upping and Guangyang entering as a new industrial backer. It has formed a closed loop of technology validation, benchmark delivery and overseas orders in the hazardous-chemical niche.
The hazardous-chemical scene carries high safety barriers, rigid labour-substitution need and strong customer paying power, a hard-but-right track for embodied intelligence. Against general humanoids, XTRON built deeper moats in explosion-proof compliance, industry know-how and customer trust. Rapid repeat funding and industrial backing signal market confidence in its route, though long order cycles and high customisation will test its balance of scale and quality.
