Jiateng Robotics, a long-established Chinese mobile-robot maker, has closed a tens-of-millions yuan strategic round after a 12-year gap, led by Hetero (Shenzhen HET) with Dahe Fund and Jinmu Capital following. Orient International Precision, a core shareholder since 2014, still holds about 19.84 per cent. The investor line is deliberately industrial: Hetero leads in control systems and servo and joint motors, while Dahe’s limited partners include Orient, Leju Robot and Dahe’s own capital.
Founded in 2002, Jiateng holds more than 700 patents and software copyrights and has shipped six generations of AGVs across more than 500 models, from 5 kg to 220 tonnes, with annual AGV capacity of 10,000 units. In October 2025 it won orders for more than 1,000 AGVs from two new-energy giants. It has delivered over 2,000 industrial projects and accumulated 270 million hours of on-site data, the kind of asset that separates a demo from a plant-ready product.
The physical base of industrial embodied AI
Jiateng positions its self-developed iCORE embodied chassis as the physical base of industrial embodied intelligence, one of few chassis suppliers able to meet export requirements for embodied-robot makers. The chassis turns 360 degrees in place, carries up to 100 kg, is tuned by VLA and VLM models for handling, line feeding and sorting, and works with humanoids, AGVs, AMRs and unmanned forklifts. Monthly shipments run 150 to 200 units, with annual capacity targeted above 100,000.
Its customers span GAC, Toyota, Volkswagen, Huawei and Midea, and its products reach more than 30 countries with over 20,000 AGVs deployed and overseas revenue above 60 per cent. With humanoids hot, Jiateng is proving the unsexy layer, the chassis and the data, is the real moat.
