Mech-Mind lists in Hong Kong with a blue-chip cornerstone roster, betting standard parts beat the embodied-AI impossible triangle

On 1 September 2026, Mech-Mind Robotics, stock code 09615.HK, listed on the Hong Kong exchange. The headline attraction is a top-tier cornerstone roster led by Baillie Gifford, the century-old Scottish asset manager known for long-term bets on Tesla and Nvidia, with Tai Kang Life, Jane Street, BYD’s industrial arm Golden Link, Invus, Ghisallo, Ruihua and Australia’s NGS Super, plus one of China’s largest fund houses, E Fund. That is a rare global consensus totalling US$186 million.

Founded in 2016, the name Mech-Mind means robot brain. From day one it took a different route from whole-robot firms: no robot body, only the eye-brain-hand core components of intelligent robots.

Making only the robot’s eye, brain and hand

While robot firms tell body stories, Mech-Mind’s choice may seem quiet, but its products are already at scale. To date it has deployed over 29,000 systems worldwide, in nearly 50 countries and regions, serving over 100 Fortune Global 500 firms.

In real environments the test is far harder than labs. Same object, different placement. Light changes. Arm brand changes. Production rhythm changes. Any can break the result. Standardisation did not trade away reliability. In auto and battery lines demanding precision and rhythm, Mech-Mind runs stably, cycle under 2.4 seconds per item, via software-hardware co-optimisation.

The real moat is in every successful grab on the line and every project passed by the customer. By making intelligence a standard part, Mech-Mind turns the impossible triangle into a commercial flywheel. The more it deploys, the faster it iterates, the lower the cost.
