Shenzhen’s RoboSense Ships 719,200 LiDARs in H1, Robotics Segment Up 510%

Shenzhen-based RoboSense (速腾聚创) shipped 719,200 LiDAR units in the first half of 2026, a 170% year-on-year jump, according to company figures released on July 9. The robot-industry segment led the acceleration: 282,600 units, up 510% from the same period last year. Automotive LiDAR, still the larger business, rose 98% to 436,600 units.

In the second quarter alone, total deliveries hit 388,900 units. Robot-industry LiDAR reached 97,100 units, up 182% year on year, while automotive LiDAR climbed 136% to 291,800 units. The numbers underscore how the Shenzhen lidar maker’s growth engine is shifting from single-scenario automotive demand to a dual-track model spanning vehicles and physical-AI robots.

RoboSense says it has partnered with more than 3,400 robotics companies and is the leading supplier of 3D LiDARs to the robot industry by volume. Its E-platform solid-state digital LiDAR has now accumulated over 300,000 units delivered, a milestone the company claims is an industry first for a mass-produced solid-state LiDAR. Applications now span robotic lawnmowers, unmanned delivery, humanoids, embodied AI, and commercial cleaning robots.

On the automotive side, RoboSense held a 61% share of the above-RMB-500,000 passenger-car front-view main LiDAR market as of March 31, and counted 177 model wins across 36 automakers with over 9 million units in booked orders. The company attributes the cross-scene growth to its self-developed digital chip architecture, including the “Eocene” SPAD-SoC platform unveiled in April, which is designed to reuse across both automotive and robotics products.
