Standard Robots files for Hong Kong IPO a third time, touting 1,800-plus robot shipments in the first half

Standard Robots filed a Hong Kong prospectus for the third time on 27 July, this time through the 18C channel for pre-profit specialist-technology issuers. The prior two filings, in June 2025 and January 2026, had lapsed on review timing. Days earlier the company, with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), won the logistics-sorting track of the WBCD2026 global dual-arm robot challenge.

Founded in 2016 and led by a Harbin Institute of Technology alumni team, Standard Robots builds industrial intelligent mobile robots and counts itself an early mover in industrial embodied-intelligence solutions. By CIC consulting data for 2025, it is one of China’s four largest industrial mobile-robot providers by volume, with a 4.0 per cent share, and among the world’s largest such providers by shipments across several high-tech sectors. It ranks second in both 3C and automotive, at 4.1 per cent each, and fifth in semiconductors at 0.9 per cent.

Backers and proceeds

The company has drawn backing from Xiaomi Industrial Investment, NIO Capital, the Liangxi science-and-technology fund, CSC Investment, Source Code Capital, MiraclePlus and Guoke Jiahe, among others. Its pre-IPO valuation reached RMB 2.1 billion. The prospectus says first-half shipments passed 1,800 units.

Proceeds are earmarked for core robotics platforms, the RoboVerse system, domestic and overseas sales and service networks, and new production lines, with the balance for general corporate use and working capital.
