Jieluo Intelligent Equipment (Suzhou) recently held a ground-breaking for its headquarters project in Wuzhong district. The site covers 42.5 mu, about 70,000 square metres, with total investment of RMB 1.2 billion, building a headquarters base to make 2,000 rail-free navigation robots (AMRs) and 500 wafer-smart-storage units a year, pitched at RMB 2.5 billion in annual output.
A semiconductor smart-equipment national “little giant”, Jieluo rooted in Wuzhong in 2020, focused on semiconductor AMHS solutions, smart AMRs and Industry 4.0 systems, serving about 70 per cent of the world’s top chip firms and scaling at major domestic wafer and advanced-packaging plants. It has drawn leading backers including Hefei Jianyin Capital, Shenzhen Capital, Huixin, SAIF, Zihe and Wuzhong Jinkong.
A cleanliness-and-precision case
With a founder team deep in semiconductors, Jieluo builds algorithms, software and hardware in-house, runs a 10,000 square metre plant, meets ISO Class 1 cleanroom grade, and claims a 100 per cent customer repurchase rate with zero abandoned projects. It has shipped over ten wafer-handling AMR models plus wafer libraries and overhead systems, offering unmanned Industry 4.0 plants.
In a wafer material handling case, Jieluo’s plan cuts manual labour per shift by 86.7 per cent, runs one robot at three times human throughput, lifts cross-shop efficiency 75 per cent, shortens overall production cycle 15 per cent and speeds new-shop deployment over 90 per cent. It removes manual handling risk, drops wafer damage to zero, lifts key product yield to 99.5 per cent, and posts 1,200 days without a safety incident, with cleanroom compliance held at 100 per cent.
WSTS sees the 2026 global semiconductor market at USD 1.5 trillion, up about 90 per cent on 2025 to a record. As process grows finer and smarter, cleanroom and yield bars keep rising, and old manual and plain-industrial ways no longer fit high-end wafer and packaging needs. Dedicated semiconductor robots are the fix: they suit ultra-clean shops, with high precision, low dust and corrosion resistance, and automate delicate handling end to end.
YHResearch puts the 2024 global semiconductor-robot market at RMB 11.56 billion, growing to RMB 17.04 billion by 2031, a 6.0 per cent compound rate from 2025 to 2031. As fabs demand cleaner and more flexible gear, the special-equipment upgrade accelerates.
