Gasgoo Embodied Intelligence learned that Tianqi’s embodied-intelligence robot industry project has recently broken ground. Sited in the core area of Wuxi Huishan High-Tech Zone, it carries total investment above RMB 1 billion and covers more than 70 mu, about 47,000 square metres. The project fuses automotive smart manufacturing with embodied intelligence, building an automotive-equipment smart-manufacturing base and an R&D centre for robot embodied-intelligence systems for the auto industry.
Specifically, the project develops and scales automotive automated conveyor lines and painting-line systems, while running embodied-data acquisition and building bespoke models for flexible assembly and sorting. It aims to deliver complete embodied-intelligence solutions tuned to car manufacturing, pushing auto production toward digital, intelligent and high-end upgrade.
Tianqi is a veteran intelligent-equipment firm built around serving the full vehicle lifecycle. In recent years it has actively moved into embodied robotics, reaching deep partnerships with UBTECH and Galbot. As early as September 2020 it formed Wuxi Youqi with UBTECH to provide driverless logistics. In May 2025 it formed Wuxi Tianqi Galaxy with Galbot, holding 55 per cent.
Tianqi and Tianqi Galaxy now focus on factory unmanned retail, guided tours, bin identification and handling, empty-box palletising and parts sorting, developing and refining embodied-robot vertical models. They are already applied or in live training across vehicle manufacturing, auto-parts manufacturing, tyre manufacturing and 3C manufacturing.
Recently Tianqi Galaxy delivered and deployed a humanoid robot at Lingong Heavy Machinery’s headquarters, giving all staff and visitors smart-retail service, turning arena demos into real terminal use. The company is betting that the fastest route to value is not a general humanoid, but robots that fit the messy, specific workflows of a factory floor.
