On 19 August, per a National Business Daily leak, Xiaomi’s next humanoid robot stands about 1.70 metres, weighs 66 kg and carries 66 degrees of freedom, with half of them in the hands. Xiaomi planned to show it to the public for the first time at the 2026 World Robot Conference opening on 19 August, then take it to Europe after its China debut.
Lei Jun had said Xiaomi’s robots already “interned” four months in a car plant with real results: on a self-tapping nut fitment station, two-side work lifted success from 90.2 to 98 per cent, and centre-console panel fitment and box folding both reached 90 per cent, the first long-duration work on flexible parts.

Official material says Xiaomi’s humanoid work began as an internal project in 2020, first with the CyberDog quadruped to build the base, then in August 2022 the first full-size humanoid CyberOne, a technical prototype for bipedal walk and emotion sensing that was not mass produced. Recent years brought steady gains in dexterous hands, balance and coordinated robot work.
Lu Weibing, Xiaomi partner and president, said Xiaomi will not build robots alone but fold them into the “human-vehicle-home” ecosystem across smart factories, mobility and the home.
