Zhejiang breaks ground on a 5,000-unit-a-year smart logistics robot factory

Zhejiang Qingtian Lituo Robot Co has broken ground on a project that will build a digital factory for smart logistics robots at a planned capacity of 5,000 units a year. The site covers 40 mu and will produce AGV handling robots, smart warehouse systems and the software that runs them, aimed at the intelligent-upgrade needs of manufacturers across the Yangtze River Delta. Completion is expected in 2027.

Qingtian Lituo is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mingguang Lituo Intelligent Technology, founded in August 2018 and rated a national-level little giant in smart manufacturing. Its parent focuses on industrial software and smart-manufacturing equipment, serving car and parts makers, 3C and home-appliance manufacturers. Its published partners include Siemens, Fanuc, Yaskawa, KUKA, Hikvision, Schneider, Emerson, Geely, Great Wall, BYD, Midea and Haier.

Lituo’s robots perform precision jobs such as embedded nuts, vision-guided loading and unloading, automatic engine-head tightening and gluing, replacing manual steps and pushing factories toward full-link automated, standardised production. Its latent and fork AGVs use SLAM laser navigation, support fast deployment, self-checking, interface expansion, auto-charging and 360-degree safety, and run cluster scheduling for uninterrupted 7-by-24 operation.

According to Anhui’s development commission, Lituo’s AI-vision system, pairing in-mould monitoring with full offline inspection, cut defect rates by 30 per cent, labour inspection cost by 40 per cent, delivery cycle by 20 per cent and equipment failure rate by 22 per cent.

Chairman Yu Ruifu, a Dalian University of Technology master’s graduate and senior engineer, has driven deep industry-academy collaboration with the university. Back in 2022 the company already posted sales above 100 million yuan and a 14 per cent market share.

The market is expanding fast. QYResearch projects the global logistics-robot market will reach 32.02 billion dollars by 2031, a 20.1 per cent compound annual growth rate. Smart logistics robots are becoming core carriers of industrial automation and the practical lever for manufacturers to cut cost and lift efficiency.
