🇧🇷 Brazil, 2026-08: Chinese brands took 22.8% of the market (22.7% excl MG). BYD set a monthly record at 4th and closed to within 3,000 of Chevrolet, while the whole China bloc crossed 22% share for the first time.
🇦🇺 Australia, 2026-08: Chinese brands took 31.5% of the market (27.2% excl MG). BYD holds a clear second, and Geely, Zeekr and Omoda Jaecoo all more than tripled year on year.
🇲🇾 Malaysia, 2026-07: Chinese brands took 8.2% of the market (8.2% excl MG). Perodua and Proton still own 59%, but the China bench is stacking up fast.
🇬🇧 United Kingdom, 2026-07: Chinese brands took 19.1% of the market (14.5% excl MG). Chery, Jaecoo and Omoda combined outsold every carmaker in Britain except Volkswagen, and BYD cracked the top ten for the first time.
