🇲🇾 Malaysia, 2026-09: Chinese brands took 8.0% of the market (8.0% excl MG). Perodua and Proton still own two-thirds of the market, but the China bench is stacking up fast.

🇬🇧 United Kingdom, 2026-09: Chinese brands took 23.3% of the market (18.2% excl MG). Chery’s four badges (Chery, Jaecoo, Omoda, Lepas) combined outsold Volkswagen to become Britain’s biggest carmaker, and the Jaecoo 7 became the first Chinese model to top the UK sales chart.

🇧🇷 Brazil, 2026-09: Chinese brands took 21.1% of the market (21.0% excl MG). BYD held 4th but slipped 9% as Brazil’s 35% EV tariff bit, while GWM and the Chery group set records. The bloc took 21% and split along the plant line.

🇸🇬 Singapore, 2026-08: Chinese brands took 51.7% of the market (46.8% excl MG). BYD alone took 24.2%, more than Toyota and Mercedes combined.

🇧🇷 Brazil, 2026-07: Chinese brands took 22.7% of the market (22.5% excl MG). BYD set another record at 23,465 units, and sixteen Chinese or China-linked brands now sit in the table.

🇸🇬 Singapore, 2026-07: Chinese brands took 49.9% of the market (45.2% excl MG). BYD alone took 22.2%, and Chinese badges now hold five of the ten best-selling spots.

🇹🇭 Thailand, 2026-07: Chinese brands took 36.5% of the market (31.7% excl MG). Omoda & Jaecoo, BYD and Geely each passed 3,000 units and six Chinese badges filled the top ten.

🇲🇾 Malaysia, 2026-08: Chinese brands took 7.5% of the market (7.5% excl MG). Perodua and Proton still own 59%, but the China bench is stacking up fast.

🇹🇭 Thailand, 2026-08: Chinese brands took 35.9% of the market (30.7% excl MG). Chery’s Omoda and Jaecoo combo led the Chinese pack at nearly 5,000 units, and the China block now owns every rank from four down.

🇬🇧 United Kingdom, 2026-08: Chinese brands took 21.0% of the market (15.8% excl MG). Chery, Jaecoo and Omoda combined outsold every carmaker in Britain except Volkswagen, and BYD cracked the top ten for the first time.
