LimX Dynamics closes $200M Pre-IPO round, valuation reaches 15 billion yuan

General-purpose humanoid robot maker LimX Dynamics has closed a Pre-IPO financing round of nearly 200 million US dollars, lifting its post-money valuation to 15 billion yuan and putting it among China’s super unicorns. The company has raised 400 million US dollars across the past six months, building a war chest for its next capital-market move.

The round drew leading global capital from China, Europe, the Middle East, North America and Southeast Asia, a signal of how widely the embodied-intelligence story is now backed. New investors include IDG Capital, Lens Technology, the pan-European industrial group G.G.G.Group and Redstone VC, Huashan Capital, and the Hefei Binhu Industrial Development Group. UAE-based Stone Venture followed on for multiple rounds, while Oasis Capital, Cornerstone Capital, Nanshan Strategic Investment, Shangqi Capital and NIO Capital all increased their stakes.

A Shenzhen humanoid builder with global orders

LimX Dynamics was founded in 2022 and keeps its global headquarters in Shenzhen. It is an AI-driven general humanoid company focused on full-size humanoids, and also ships multi-form robots such as its TRON line. Its work spans three cores: body hardware design and manufacturing, brain-and-body fusion technology, and an embodied-agent operating system.

The proceeds will go to three priorities. First, break through brain-and-body fusion and accelerate productisation. Second, push the scaled deployment of thousands of fully autonomous humanoids. Third, deepen global market expansion, building out manufacturing and delivery in the Middle East, Europe and other key Asian regions while growing an open developer ecosystem.

A three-layer system architecture

On the technology side LimX stays fully self-developed, with a three-layer stack. System 0 is a whole-body motion foundation model that generates stable, precise movement. System 1 covers the humanoid VLA and WAM capabilities, built around the FluxVLA Engine, an enterprise-grade open-source model-training platform aimed at cutting the cost of low-level engineering for developers. System 2 is COSA, an embodied-agent operating system built on a large language model and a world model, carrying cognitive decision-making and human interaction.

Commercially, LimX has accumulated several thousand orders, more than half from overseas, across research and education, commercial service, all-terrain inspection, industrial use and construction. Its full-size interactive humanoid LimX Luna, released in May, was delivered to domestic and overseas customers within a month. The newer multi-form TRON 2, with modular design and a full development kit, has drawn large overseas and domestic orders since launch.
