XTRONROBOT closes a tens-of-millions A1 round to put explosion-proof embodied robots into China’s hazardous industries

On 1 September, XTRONROBOT, a specialist in embodied intelligence for hazardous industrial settings, announced a tens-of-millions yuan A1 round. Investors include Qianhai Ark, Xihu Sci-Tech Venture Capital and Guangyang Co. The proceeds will fund its XBOT-AEGIS embodied system, multi-form explosion-proof robots and domestic and overseas market expansion.

Founded in December 2022 with a Harbin Institute of Technology team, XTRONROBOT targets oil and gas, chemicals and nuclear maintenance. Its XBOT-AEGIS architecture uses a three-layer decoupled design: the top layer handles task understanding and decisions, the middle plans and simulates actions, and the bottom is a safety redundancy that can intercept an abnormal model command in milliseconds, balancing the ‘slow thinking’ of planning with the ‘fast response’ of control.

From pilots to paid overseas orders

Since 2025 its products have been delivered and run steadily at leading customers including CNPC and Wanhua Chemical. Overseas, it runs a state-owned-enterprise co-go-export plus dealer model and has won project orders in South Sudan and Malaysia. Prior rounds included an Oriental Fortune Capital Pre-A in August 2025 and a Pre-A+ in February 2026; the A1 followed just half a year later, with Qianhai Ark and Xihu adding again and industrial investor Guangyang joining.

The hazardous-process niche carries high safety barriers, rigid substitution demand and strong customer paying power, a ‘hard but right’ lane for embodied deployment. Versus general humanoids, XTRONROBOT’s edge is compliance, industry know-how and customer trust, though long order cycles and high customisation will test its scale-up.
