Dobot is one review meeting from becoming China’s first A-share collaborative-robot stock

A fast track written in policy

In June 2025 a State Council opinion on deepening Shenzhen’s comprehensive reform pilot allowed Greater Bay Area enterprises listed in Hong Kong to list on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange under the rules. That opened a new capital path. Dobot, which landed on the Hong Kong exchange in December 2024, seized the opening as the first GBA H-share return-to-A case. In December 2025 it announced the SZSE plan. In April 2026 its IPO tutoring finished.

The ChiNext reform file landed mid-year: the China Securities Regulatory Commission said it would actively support quality pre-profit innovators and new-consumption and modern-service firms to list on ChiNext. Only seventeen days after that reform, Dobot’s ChiNext application was accepted by the SZSE. The exchange then disclosed that Dobot’s initial public offering would go to the listing committee for review on 22 July. From application to review took under three months.

The “first share” prize

Crucially, JAKA Robotics’ STAR Market IPO was terminated in December 2025. That leaves Dobot, one step from ChiNext, poised to take the title of “A-share collaborative-robot first share”. On its Hong Kong listing Dobot raised a net HK$681 million, used for frontier collaborative-robot R&D, production expansion, industry investment, mergers and overseas sales. It later completed two H-share placements totalling about HK$1.8 billion, adding to embodied-intelligence R&D.

For this ChiNext sprint Dobot plans to raise RMB 1.2 billion. By priority: RMB 550 million for a multi-legged robot R&D and industrialisation project, RMB 250 million for a humanoid technology upgrade, RMB 100 million for marketing, and the remaining RMB 300 million for working capital. The two capital raises complement each other, forming a complete funding base from collaborative robots up to humanoid and multi-legged embodied intelligence.
