A 23 Year Old AGV Maker Just Raised Again, Betting Its Chassis Becomes the Base for China’s Embodied Robots

Jiateng Robot, a veteran Chinese mobile robot firm, said it has completed a strategic financing of tens of millions of yuan after a 12 year gap, led by Shenzhen H&T Intelligent Control with Daohe Fund and Jinmu Capital following. In 2014, Oriental Precision first took a strategic stake and remains a long term core shareholder at about 19.84 per cent, the second largest.

The investor lineup is built for synergy. Lead investor H&T is a listed leader in smart control, the control brain of end devices, focused on servo motors and joint control, and has invested deep across the robot chain via JVs. Daohe’s limited partners include Oriental Precision, Leju Robot and its own capital, aiming to build a fuller chain around chassis, body, controls and industrial scenes.

H&T, Oriental Precision and Leju already intersect on robots: in 2025 the three formed Shenzhen Hepu Zhikong to develop humanoid control systems. This Jiateng investment is another meeting point.

Founded in 2002, Jiateng is an early mover in mobile robots, with over 700 patents and software rights, focused on AGV development and sales, and able to deliver full plant smart logistics solutions. It has launched six generations of AGVs, over 500 models covering tow, lift, side fork and omnidirectional forklift, loads from 5 kg to 220 tonnes. Annual AGV capacity is 10,000 units. In October 2025 it won two new energy giants’ orders for over 1,000 AGVs.

Unlike pure mobile robot firms, its deep industrial scene experience is the edge. Across more than 2,000 delivered industrial projects it has accumulated 270 million hours of field runtime data. In embodied intelligence, device research alone is not enough. Only with massive industrial data, scene experience, controls and chassis tech can a device run stably in a plant.

Jiateng is staking out the physical base of industrial embodied intelligence with its self developed iCORE chassis, a core supplier of industrial embodied mobile chassis and one of the few whose chassis meet export requirements for embodied robot makers. The chassis does 360 degree pivot in place, carries up to 100 kg, is tuned by VLA and VLM large models, and fits material handling, line feeding and sorting, compatible with humanoids, AGVs, AMRs and unmanned forklifts.

The iCORE chassis is now in volume shipment, 150 to 200 units a month, with annual capacity potentially above 100,000. With partners like Leju it is running proof of concept for a 15 kg dual arm humanoid in industrial scenes, widening where embodied intelligence can land.

With stable products, Jiateng has gone global: products ship to over 30 countries and regions, over 20,000 AGVs deployed abroad, overseas revenue above 60 per cent, customers spanning GAC, Toyota, Volkswagen, Huawei and Midea.
