Shenzhen’s Qiyuan Ships Its First Consumer Robots, Priced at RMB 19,999

On 20 September, Qiyuan Robotics, the consumer embodied-intelligence brand under Shanghai Wison New Materials, held a launch event in Shanghai and began selling two personal robots, the Qiyuan Q1 and T1. The company also laid out its brand, technology, product and ecosystem strategy.

Both products ship immediately on purchase. The Q1 and T1 are priced at RMB 19,999 each and will be dispatched in order of order date from 1 October. The first batch will be available for experience in seven cities: Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Xiamen, Wuhan and Xi’an.

From a standard product to a personal smart terminal

Unlike robots built for industrial or commercial settings, a personal robot entering the consumer market must solve experience, continuous use and personalised expansion at once. Qiyuan is opening development on the Q1 and T1 so the machine evolves from a standard product into a continuously extensible personal intelligent terminal.

The Qiyuan Q1 Explorer edition opens the SDK, HDK and hardware expansion interfaces, supports full-stack secondary development and skill-app development, and ships one-stop developer tools that lower the barrier to robot innovation.

The T1 Pro adds an Nvidia Orin Nano compute module, 360-degree omnidirectional obstacle avoidance, auto-return-to-charge on low battery, voice summon and follow-and-carry functions, and opens secondary-development interfaces.

“Someone has to take the first step,” said Tian Hua, chief executive of Wison New Materials. The core interface of the AI era is shifting from screens to personal robots that can perceive, interact, move and act, he said. Qiyuan was built from day one for individuals and households, starting with “fun” and letting robots become “useful” step by step.

Body plus model: a full-stack base

Qiyuan disclosed a full-stack layout covering robot body, motion control, multimodal perception and interaction. On the body side, it applies light, high-rigidity composite materials and a self-developed QDD quasi-direct-drive joint about the size of an egg that balances precision and compliant control.

On the model side, Qiyuan released three core models addressing stability, compliance and safety, supporting environmental understanding and follow control in both humanoid and quadruped forms, and natural interaction through vision and voice.

Qiyuan is investing in robot AI and advancing a Harness-architecture robot agent that links environment perception, language understanding and task execution, moving from “understanding instructions” to “understanding tasks and completing them autonomously.” Its PrimeMind housework foundation model for home scenarios is also moving toward deployment.

Qiyuan plans to spend RMB 500 million on R&D in 2026 across body, motion control, multimodal interaction and agents. It has adopted automotive-grade manufacturing rhythm and quality control, rolling out one robot every 2.5 minutes with fully traceable assembly data.

An ecosystem, not just a product

Qiyuan launched PrimeFLOW (appearance creation platform), PrimeStore (skill shop), PrimeHub (creator workshop) and the Qiyuan Star ecosystem plan to extend playability, creativity and growth.

PrimeHub lets developers create, publish and share robot skills across AI interaction, education and entertainment; more than 1,000 developers are already in the co-creation ecosystem.

Qiyuan announced joint labs with Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Zhejiang University. Its Qiyuan Star plan will invest RMB 1 billion over five years to build the robotics ecosystem with universities, developers, creators and industry partners.
