Shenzhen’s Five-Day Auto Show Booked 14,759 Cars and RMB 2.8 Billion in Sales

On 5 October, the five-day 2026 (18th) Shenzhen International Automobile Exhibition and Intelligent-Connected and Future-Mobility Expo closed at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre in Futian. According to the organiser, the show drew about 420,000 visitors, took 14,759 vehicle pre-orders and reservations, and booked nearly RMB 2.8 billion in transactions, lifting citywide consumption over the National Day holiday.

The show, themed “Let’s Fun”, paired the auto exhibition with an amusement park, mixing car technology, trendy toys, food and sport into one venue. It became a popular family outing during the holiday week.

Major brands brought their headline models of the year. BYD showed the Han EV, Fangchengbao, the Yangwang U8L and the Denza Z9S, while Harmony Intelligent Mobility displayed the Xiangjie V8 and Zhijie RX. Voyah’s Dreamer 9, Xiaomi’s Pengcheng N90 and N70, Hongqi’s G919 and others shared the stage, and the Yijing X9 and the 212 T10 made their South China premieres, covering needs from daily commuting to off-road recreation.

Multiple tailwinds released spending power at once. A halved new-energy-vehicle purchase tax, the national car trade-in subsidy, and Shenzhen city plus district-level cash from Nanshan and Bao’an lined up with limited-time National Day brand offers to convert showroom interest into contracts.

Beyond the cars, the show built an immersive “Energy Park” with five themed stations, a trendy toy zone with the local brand POP SUNDAY, a burger street-food market, racing simulators and pickleball, turning the floor into a leisure space rather than a place to merely browse and buy.
