MagicLab has broken ground on its headquarters plant in Wuxi’s Liangxi tech city, a site built around whole-robot and core-component R&D with four joint-module lines and two whole-unit lines. At full capacity it targets 10,000 robots a year, 9,000 small quadrupeds and 1,000 large ones, a complete chain from design and manufacturing to deployment. For a company founded only in early 2024, committing to four-figure capacity is rare when most second-tier peers still plan in the hundreds.
The industry has spent two years caught between hype and weak deployment, with launches refreshing motion specs while most firms stayed at hundred-unit pilots. MagicLab argues 2026 is the pivot point where competition shifts from demo effects to hard delivery. Its physical-AI-native approach pairs a self-developed general model with modular products, and this year it released the Magic-Mix world model, led a provincial public-safety embodied-AI lab, and launched a ‘thousand-scenario’ co-creation plan.
Capacity backed by real orders
At WAIC, MagicLab unveiled three hardware products, the flagship humanoid MagicBot X1, the industrial wheeled humanoid MagicBot D1 and the light industrial quadruped MagicDog T1, with its Magic-VLA K02 model clearing over 90 per cent success on long industrial tasks like box sealing, validated in real factories rather than fixed show-floor scenes. Its wheeled humanoid already works inside leading manufacturers on material handling and line feeding, and a traffic-management robot handled crowd control at a major public event.
Commercial and global progress underpins the capacity bet: partnerships across oil, telecom, manufacturing, power and retail with cumulative orders above 100 million yuan, a 150 million yuan healthcare order that reset the segment record, a 500 million yuan raise in May, and an exclusive AliExpress deal covering nearly 30 countries with overseas revenue over 30 per cent. MagicLab’s thesis is that mass production, not demos, is the new gate that will weed out concept-only players.
